About Casa Nora

After travelling to many windsurf destinations in search of great sailing conditions, Al and Nora visited El Yaque in the year 2000.  And they found perfection.  Superior wind conditions, side on-shore wind direction, shallow, warm sparkling water and the beautiful Caribbean sunshine, coupled with a quaint surf village, all added up to a windsurfer’s slice of heaven.  After saying goodbye to the long, cold and dark Canadian winters, Al and Nora stayed in El Yaque and built Casa Nora.

Situated in the brand new neighbourhood called “El Yaque Heights”, and surrounded by a lush and colourful private garden, Casa Nora offers a variety of accommodations, designed to suit all budgets and needs. 

Included in the price of all of the rooms are a hearty and delicious breakfast, air conditioning and ceiling fans in each room, airport pick-up and drop-off, unlimited access to wireless Internet, twice weekly house-keeping services (including laundry), assistance in planning and arranging equipment rentals, lessons, island tours etc.

After a terrific day on the water, return home to Casa Nora to:

Enjoy a refreshing swim in the 20 metre lap pool,

or to read while relaxing in a hammock,

or to enjoy a cool refreshment while watching the sunset on the terrace.

Inside the main house are two bedrooms, that each sleep two people and share a private bathroom.  In the garden, with a private entrance, a little kitchen and private bathroom, is the ‘casita’, which also sleeps two.  And the newest addition to Casa Nora is the ‘suite’, our premier guestroom.  The suite can sleep three people, has a private bathroom, mini-fridge, flat screen TV for watching DVD’s, and is accessed by a private entrance.

And of course, all of our guests are encouraged to enjoy the many indoor and outdoor chill out areas, such as the cool, green and shady ‘churuatta’, the pool, our dining terrace, and the chill out area on our new second terrace.
